Meaning, Scope & Stages of Artificial Intelligence
Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be actually described as the capability of a machine to imitate human behaviors.
Artificial Intelligence is the intelligence exhibited by machines.
It is based on the premise that intelligence is not a real one or not a human
The machine mimics cognitive functions or behaviors exhibited human. If we technically explain what is Artificial Intelligence, it is actually a man made brainpower which can be really portrayed as the capacity of a machine to just copy human practices.
When man made mental ability is well used by machines to duplicate human practices, it can be utilized for reducing the tasks and complete it quickly & correctly.
Know the Scope of Artificial Intelligence
Most of the applications, frameworks with Artificial Intelligence are highly productive when compared to human capacities in different endeavors. Thought to make the universe more effective and prompt are the main motives behind the usage and utilization of Artificial Intelligence in recent era. Most of the tasks can be carried out quickly and promptly by usage of Artificial Intelligence. AI will be used in every industry as it reduce human efforts and provide efficient results very quickly. So Artificial Intelligence has a great scope in up coming decades.
Understand the Three Stages of Artificial Intelligence
ANI - Artificial Narrow Intelligence
AGI - Artificial General Intelligence
ASI - Artificial Super Intelligence
Artificial Narrow Intelligence (ANI )
Artificial Narrow Intelligence or ANI is limited to one or two functional areas.
Examples of ANI are
1) Smartphone apps
2) Chess and AphaGo
3) Speech recognition
4) Spam Filter
5) Google Translator
6) Self driving system
7) Image identification
Artificial General Intelligence (AGI)
AGI covers more than 1 functional area such as reasoning, problem solving and abstract thinking.
Examples of AGI or Artificial General Intelligence
- Multipurpose systems
- Systems with human level intelligence, reasoning, thinking and decision making
- Systems that synthesize diverse information and decide actions.
Artificial Super Intelligence (ASI)
ASI super passes human intelligence
Examples of ASI or Artificial Super Intelligence are;
1) Super intelligence AI agents
2) System that are master at every subject and disciplines are faster than the smartest human.
Three Stages of Artificial Intelligence
ANI comprises user driven big data systems
AGI have machine intelligence and comprises advanced networks trained to build ad-hoc systems and improve themselves using data.
ASI have Machine consciousness and comprises systems characterizing cognitive self learning.
